Abstract:
The present invention provides a washing machine, for use in allowing a user to well apply a detergent to a stain-adhered part of clothes before a washing operation and the like. A drum washing machine (1) comprises: an outer tub (20) provided in a box body (10); a drum (23) provided in the outer tub (20) for accommodating clothes; a detergent foam generation part (310), which generates detergent foam by foaming a detergent and delivers the generated detergent foam; a nozzle (320) for discharging the detergent foam delivered from the detergent foam generation part (310), so as to apply the detergent foam to part of the clothes outside the drum (23); and a control part. The control part executes the process of applying the detergent foam delivered from the detergent foam generation part (310) by means of the nozzle (320); the control part measures a specified standby time in the detergent foam application process; and on the basis of completion of the measurement of the standby time, the control part executes a washing operation for washing the clothes accommodated in the drum (23).
