Abstract:

A washing machine capable of favorably coating a dirt-attached portion of clothes with a detergent before a washing operation. The front loading washing machine is provided with: an outer tub arranged in a cabinet; a drum, arranged in the outer tub and accommodating clothes; a detergent foam generation part, generating detergent foam by causing a detergent to foam and discharging the generated detergent foam; a nozzle, releasing downwards the detergent foam discharged from the detergent foam generation part so as to coat the dirt-attached portion of clothes with the detergent outside the drum; a distance sensor, testing the situation that the dirt-attached portion of the clothes gets close to a specified distance from the below relative to the nozzle; a control part, causing the detergent foam generation part to discharge the detergent foam on the basis of the dirt-attached portion of the clothes getting close to the specified distance; and a lamp, fixedly irradiating a coated area with light.
