Title:
WATER-BASED INK FOR INK-JET RECORDING
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2017/030100
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present invention relates to: [1] a water-based ink for ink-jet recording which contains titanium oxide (A) and a pigment dispersant (B), wherein the pigment dispersant (B) comprises a constituent unit derived from an anionic-group-containing monomer (a) and a constituent unit derived from a poly(alkylene glycol) (meth)acrylate (b), the average number of moles of the alkylene oxide added in the poly(alkylene glycol) (meth)acrylate (b) being 15-100, the pigment dispersant (B) has an acid value of 100 to 400 mg-KOH/g, and the pigment dispersant (B) is contained in an amount of 0.3-18 parts by mass per 100 parts by mass of the titanium oxide (A); and [2] an ink-jet recording method which comprises using an ink-jet recorder to deliver the water-based ink described in [1] above to a recording medium, thereby making a record. With the present invention, it is possible to provide: a water-based ink for ink-jet recording which includes titanium oxide as a pigment and has excellent redispersibility; and an ink-jet recording method.
