Abstract:

Disclosed is a water-in-oil emulsified sunscreen cosmetic composition exhibiting sufficiently excellent ultraviolet-shielding effect, while having excellent stability in prevention/suppression of deterioration odor over time. Specifically disclosed is a water-in-oil emulsified sunscreen cosmetic composition containing (a) 0.2-10% by mass of octocrylene, (b) 0.2-30% by mass of titanium dioxide and/or zinc oxide subjected to a hydrophobilizing treatment, (c) 0.02-8% by mass of phenylbenzimidazole sulfonic acid, (d) a neutralizing agent for the component (c), and if necessary, (e) 0.01-20% by mass of a silicone surface active agent.
