Abstract:
This water level detecting device is provided with an ultrasonic sensor which includes a transmitting unit and a receiving unit and is disposed above a container. The transmitting unit is configured to transmit ultrasonic waves toward a food product. The receiving unit is configured to receive ultrasonic waves reflected by the food product. The water level detecting device is configured to detect a boiling state of the food product by detecting a variation in the distance to an upper surface of the food product, detected by the ultrasonic sensor. According to this mode of embodiment, the boiling state of the food product can be detected irrespective of the properties of the container or the placement state thereof.
