Abstract:
Provided is a water and oil repellent comprising: (a) a fluorine-containing monomer represented by the general formula CH2=C(-X)-C(=O)-Y-Z-Rf [where X is a hydrogen atom, a monovalent organic group, or a halogen atom, Y is -O- or -NH-, Z is a direct bond or a divalent organic group, and Rf is a fluoroalkyl group having 1-20 carbon atoms]; and (b) a fluorine-containing copolymer containing a repeating unit derived from nonyl(meth)acrylate. This water and oil repellent can sufficiently achieve both high processing stability and high alcohol repellency (more specifically, isopropyl alcohol-water mixture repellency).
