Abstract:
Disclosed in the present invention are a water wave special effect generation method and apparatus, a storage medium, and a computer device. The method comprises: acquiring a preset disturbance special effect map corresponding to a virtual scene of a water wave special effect to be generated, performing sampling offset on the preset disturbance special effect map, and determining a plurality of target disturbance maps; sampling target disturbance channels corresponding to the target disturbance maps, wherein the target disturbance channels comprise R channels and G channels; and rendering a display region UV of the virtual scene on the basis of the target disturbance channels, so that a disturbance special effect is attached to the display region. According to the present application, there is no need to call a function for real-time rendering, thus running overhead is small, the requirements for device performance are low, thus the game requirements of more players can be satisfied, and an artist can customize different styles of disturbance special effects maps to enrich special effects, thus the art controllability of game special effects is improved, thereby improving the playability of a game, so that players obtain better gaming experience.
