Abstract:
Provided are a wavelength selection switch that is suitable for wideband application and in which crosstalk is reduced, and an optical cross-connect device that uses said wavelength selection switch. The present invention is a wavelength selection switch including an optical input port, an optical output port, a wavelength dispersion part for spatially dividing light incident from the optical input port for each wavelength and emitting the light so that the emission angle of the incident light differs from each prescribed wavelength band, and a deflecting part for deflecting the reflection angle or transmission angle of the light incident from the wavelength dispersion part variably for each wavelength and thereby coupling the light to the optical output port, the wavelength dispersion part comprising a wavelength dispersion element, and a position control mechanism for reversibly changing the position, angle, or both of the wavelength dispersion element with respect to the optical input port.
