Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a weather radar control device, weather observation system, weather radar control method, and weather radar control program for more quickly detecting rainfall. [Solution] The amount of water vapor in the atmosphere increases before the occurrence of rainfall. Therefore, rain is likely to fall when the amount of water vapor in the atmosphere is above a prescribed threshold value or has risen by at least a prescribed threshold value in a prescribed period of time (one minute, for example). When a prediction means predicts rainfall, a control means causes a weather radar to irradiate radio waves on the basis of the prediction results. As a result, the weather radar can immediately detect the occurrence of rainfall.
