Abstract:
A web-splicing device for connecting the cut end of an old film (W1) traveling in one direction, and the tip of a new film (W2) drawn in the same direction. Attachment rollers (1, 2) are provided above and below the path of travel of the old film, and a cutting blade (6) is provided upstream. The tip of the new film is adhered to the lower-side attachment roller (2) via an adhesive tape (T2), and an adhesive tape (T1) is adhered to the upper-side attachment roller (1). In this state, the two films (W1, W2) are spliced to one another by: producing contact pressure between the upper and lower attachment rollers (1, 2) with the old film (W1) interposed therebetween; cutting the old film using the cutting blade (6); thereafter, rotating both rollers (1, 2) in the delivery direction of the two films (W1, W2), and aligning the cut end of the old film and the tip of the new film with one another; and adhering the adhesive tape (T1, T2) along the two aligned ends.
