Abstract:
Provided is a wheel speed sensor capable of reliably holding, in a holder, a detecting unit containing a magnetoelectric transducer.
A wheel speed sensor comprises: a magnetoelectric transducer (11) that is positioned between a magnet and a wheel hub and that detects the magnetic flux variation due to rotation of the wheel hub, converts the same to an electric signal, and outputs the electric signal; leads (12) each of which forms a bent strip and one end of each of which is connected to the magnetoelectric transducer (11); a holder (1) that forms a rectangle, has a holding portion to hold the magnetoelectric transducer (11) on one face thereof, and that has the other end of each of the leads (12) placed on another face extending from the one face; and a cover (20) that covers the holder (1) from the side of the other face. The cover (20) has a pressing portion (23) that presses the leads (12) into a portion facing the other face.
