Abstract:
This wind power-generation device includes a wind turbine, a power generator (5) that generates power through the rotation of a central rotating member, and a brake device (Bk) that brakes the rotation of the wind turbine. The brake device (Bk) is a centrifugal brake device that operates by centrifugal force caused by the rotation of the central rotating member. The brake device (Bk) includes: an arm (10) that is supported by a power generator shaft (5b) that rotates together with the central rotating member and that opens around an axis parallel to the central rotating member due to the centrifugal force caused by the rotation of the central rotating member; a torsion spring (11) that restricts, by a spring force, the opening of the arm (10) around the axis; and a stopper that is provided on a case (5a) which does not rotate due to the rotation of the wind turbine, and that brakes the rotation of the wind turbine by contacting the arm (10) when the arm (10) is opened against the spring force of the torsion spring (11).
