Abstract:
The problem to be solved by this invention is to provide a wire rope in which durability is enhanced without using a grease therein, particularly a wire rope in which durability is enhanced and that can be used in a medical device inserted into the body of a patient. This wire rope (1) comprises a core wire (3) and six side wires (5), the hardness of the core wire (3) (special metal wire) on the outer periphery in the cross-section thereof being higher than the hardness of the core wire (3) at the center in the cross-section thereof.
