Abstract:
Disclosed is a power transmitting unit according to an embodiment of the present invention, which comprises a power transmission coil and a control circuit electrically connected to the power transmission coil, wherein the control circuit is set to cause the power transmitting unit to: set a plurality of parameters related to a ping signal for detecting a target to which power is to be transmitted; transmit the ping signal on the basis of the plurality of set parameters; measure at least one of a voltage or a current corresponding to the transmitted ping signal; and change at least one of the plurality of parameters on the basis of at least one of the measured voltage or current, wherein the plurality of parameters include at least one among the frequency of the ping signal, the voltage for transmitting the ping signal, and the transmission interval of the ping signal.
