Abstract:
A wireless communication device (10) has: a casing member (12) that includes a top plate (12a) provided with a back surface (12d) opposed to a metal surface (Wa) with space therebetween and a top plate support (12b) that stands upright on the back surface side from the top plate (12a); an antenna (14) that includes a body (14a) provided to the back surface (12d) of the top plate (12a) of the casing member (12), and a connection part (14b) extending from the body (14a) toward the metal surface (Wa) and connected to the metal surface (Wa) through a direct current connection or in a capacitive coupling manner; and a RFIC chip (16) that is provided on the back surface (12d) of the top plate (12a) of the casing member (12) and is connected to the antenna (14). The casing member (12) is further provided with antenna supports (12e) that support the body (14a) in a state where space is provided between the top plate (12a) and the body (14a) of the antenna (14).
