Abstract:
Disclosed are a wireless communication system and a function switching method that make effective use of a connector. Said wireless communication system is provided with: a connector; a wireless communication unit which wirelessly communicates with another device; a setting execution unit which sets wireless communication settings in the other device via wired communication through the connector; an other-function execution unit which performs a function, other than setting wireless communication settings, using the device connected to the connector; a wireless communication confirmation unit which confirms whether the wireless communication unit has established a wireless communication connection with the other device; and a selection unit that selects the other-function execution unit and executes said other function when the wireless communication confirmation unit has confirmed that a wireless communication connection has been established.
