Abstract:

An own-side wireless communication device 1 and a counterpart-side wireless communication device 10 are both provided with a wireless communication unit 3 which issues a transmission power control request to the counterpart-side wireless communication device requesting an increase or a decrease in the transmission power of said counterpart-side wireless communication device such that the received signal strength of radio waves transmitted by the counterpart-side wireless communication device falls within a pre-determined range, and which performs transmission power control of the own-side wireless communication device in accordance with a transmission power increase or decrease request from the counterpart-side wireless communication device. Further, the own-side wireless communication device 1 is provided with a control unit 6 which, if a communication state matches a condition requiring an increase in the transmission power, performs control to lower the received signal strength of the own-side wireless communication device 1 and the counterpart-side wireless communication device 10, thereby causing the wireless communication unit 3 in the own-side wireless communication device 1 to issue a transmission power control request requesting an increase in the transmission power of the counterpart-side wireless communication device 10, and also causing the counterpart-side wireless communication device 10 to issue a transmission power control request requesting an increase in the transmission power of the own-side wireless communication device 1.
