The objective of the invention is to avoid packet collisions between or among access points and insure the QoS. An access point, which shares a wireless channel with other access points and performs communications therewith, is characterized in that the access point has functions of: determining, on the basis of information included in polling communication signals or broadcast signals transmitted from the other access points, an access point (preceding AP) that is to perform a polling communication immediately before the local station, thereby forming a group for which the sequence of performing polling communications is determined; and after determining that a polling communication interval of the preceding AP has terminated, starting a polling communication interval of a wireless network in the local station.
