Disclosed is a wireless communication system that is provided with first and second base station devices, first and second application servers, and a terminal device. The first application server is provided with a communication unit that transmits and receives individual data to and from the terminal device via the first base station device. The first base station device is provided with: a control information request unit that requests the second base station device to transmit first control information relating to the second application server connected to the second base station device, and second control information for connecting the terminal device to the second base station device; and a transmission unit that transmits, to the terminal device, at least the second control information notified from the second base station device. The second base station device is provided with a control information notifying unit that notifies the second base station device of the first and second control information, and the terminal device is provided with a reception unit that receives at least the second control information from the first base station device.
