Abstract:
This wireless communication system comprises a first communication device and one or more second communication devices that communicate with the first communication device. The first communication device comprises: a wireless unit that forms a plurality of candidate beams in different directions and transmits a signal for each of the candidate beams, the wireless unit receiving a response to the signal received by the one or more second communication devices; a wireless control unit that acquires quality information related to the candidate beams for each of the candidate beams on the basis of the response received by the wireless unit; and a position estimating unit that refers to correspondence information in which the quality information for each of the candidate beams is associated with position information, and estimates the position of the one or more second communication devices on the basis of the quality information acquired by the wireless control unit for each of the candidate beams. The one or more second communication devices transmit a response to the signal transmitted from the first communication device.
