Abstract:
In this wireless communication system, on the basis of a notification from a connected base station (100A), a wireless communication terminal (200) performs prescribed measurements relating to other base stations (100C-D) present in the periphery, and notifies the base station (100A) the results of said prescribed measurements. During handover of the terminal (200a), the base station (100A) determines, on the basis of the prescribed measurement results, which of the other base stations (100C-D) is to be the target during handover of the terminal (200a), but in prescribed situations, of the other base stations (100B-F) present in the periphery of the base station (100A), a base station (100B) for which the prescribed measurement has not been performed is set as the target during handover of the terminal (200a).
