Abstract:
This workpiece transport device can support a workpiece at a high position using two center-folding parallel link mechanisms located between a workpiece support base and a transport dolly. A center-folding parallel link mechanism (3R) which is pulled up by the upward movement of the workpiece support base (4) is locked by a lock means (34) in a supporting position in which the workpiece is supported at a high position, the supporting position being that in which the center-folding parallel link mechanism (3R) is bent to the opposite side from a vertical upright position which is the upright limit position. The center-folding parallel link mechanism is provided with a section (30) to be operated, the section (30) being provided to the intermediate link member (27b) of the center-folding parallel link mechanism or to a link member located near the intermediate link member (27b). A lifter (53R) is provided with a position-switching assistance means (54R) which, when the lifter supports the workpiece support base (4) and moves the workpiece support base (4) upward to thereby bring the center-folding parallel link mechanism (3R) to the vertical upright position, engages with the section (30) to be operated and outwardly moves the section (30).
