Abstract:

The metal core of this worm wheel has one axial end surface in which a first annular recess is formed and the other axial end surface in which a second annular recess is formed. The outer peripheral wall surface of the second annular recess has a tapered surface extending from the bottom surface so as to form an obtuse angle with the bottom surface of the second annular recess and has a third annular recess formed radially outward of the tapered surface. The cross-section shape of the third annular recess is a right triangle having, as two of the sides, a surface parallel to the bottom surface of the second annular recess and a surface orthogonal to the bottom surface of the second annular recess. A rim part has a first inner periphery part fixed to the first annular recess, and a second inner periphery part fixed to the second annular recess.
