Abstract:
Provided is an X-ray CT apparatus capable of preventing overexposure due to human error by assessing whether or not input imaging conditions are appropriate based on attributes of the patient measured by the apparatus itself. The X-ray CT apparatus comprises a measuring means, a region-specifying means, a calculating means, a comparing means, and a reporting means. The measuring means measures an attribute of a subject who is placed on the platform. The region-specifying means specifies the region of the subject that is to be imaged based on measured attributes of the subject. The calculating means determines the exposure dose on the basis of the specified imaging region. The comparing means compares and assesses the determined exposure dose with the exposure dose that is based on the imaging conditions which have been input for the examination. The reporting means reports the results of the assessment by the comparing means.
