Abstract:
According to the present invention, a zeolite membrane composite body (1) is provided with a porous support (11) and a zeolite membrane (12) that is formed on the support (11). Water molecules are adsorbed on the zeolite membrane (12). The water loss rate of the zeolite membrane (12) from 250°C to 500°C is 0.1% or more. Since a relatively large amount of water molecules are adsorbed on the zeolite membrane (12) even at relatively high temperatures (for example, in an environment at around 250°C) as described above, the permeance ratio of the zeolite membrane (12) is able to be improved in separation of a substance mixture at high temperatures. In addition, the zeolite membrane (12) is able to have an improved permeance ratio not only in separation of a substance mixture at high temperatures but also in separation of a substance mixture in other temperature ranges (for example, at room temperature).
