Abstract:
Provided is a zeolite membrane composite which is used for separating a mixture, has a high separation coefficient while maintaining a practical permeation flow rate, and is easily produced. This zeolite membrane composite comprises: a porous support; and a zeolite membrane of an aluminosilicate, the zeolite membrane being formed on the surface of the porous support, and having a framework density of 10-17, wherein the Si/Al molar ratio of the zeolite membrane surface is at least 5, and the ratio (Ae/A0) of a developed membrane area Ae considering the surface irregularities of the zeolite membrane, to an apparent membrane area A0 not considering the surface irregularities of the zeolite membrane, is 2-20.
