Abstract:
The present invention provides a zirconia composite sintered body that has strength and translucency suitable for dental use and also has exceptional machinability. The present invention relates to a zirconia composite sintered body that contains ZrO2, HfO2, a stabilizer capable of suppressing phase transition of zirconia, and Nb2O5 and/or Ta2O5, the zirconia composite sintered body being such that, in a total of 100 mol% of the ZrO2, the HfO2, the stabilizer, the Nb2O5, and the Ta2O5, the total content value for the ZrO2 and the HfO2 is 78-97.5 mol%, the content value for the stabilizer is 1-12 mol%, and the total content value for Nb2O5 and Ta2O5 is 1-9 mol%, and the zirconia composite sintered body furthermore containing a group I element and TiO2.
