Abstract:
A plasma display screen comprising a carrier plate (2), a transparent front plate (1), a rib structure (13), which divides the space between the carrier plate (2) and the front plate (1) into plasma cells which are filled with a gas, and comprising one or more electrode arrays (6, 7, 11) on the front plate (1) or on the front plate (1) and the carrier plate (2) to generate corona discharges in the plasma cells, and comprising a phosphor layer (10) and a reflection layer (8), which reflection layer (8) comprises a non-metallic powder having a refractive index in the wavelength range from 147 nm to 700 nm of n = nreal+ik, where n > 1.3 and k < 0.05, said powder having an average grain diameter of 100 nm < d < 1000 nm, is characterized by an improved luminance.
