Abstract:
A method for agglomerating used powder and/or fines from organohalosilane production comprises homogenizing with a polyose binder and water and then compression-molding the mixture in a press. A method for the agglomeration of used powdered material and/or fines (I) from the production of organohalosilanes involves: mixing (I) with a polyose binder (II); adding 3-10 (preferably 4-8) wt% water; stirring to give a homogeneous mixture; and compressing in a press to give a solid agglomerated product. Independent claims are also included for (1) a solid agglomerated product obtained by this method (2) a solid agglomerated product containing (I) and (II) in a wt. ratio (II/I) of 0.1/1-0.5/1 (preferably 0.15/1-0.3/1) plus 3-10 (preferably 4-8) wt% water based on (I + II).
