Abstract:
The printing blanket (14) has a dimensionally stable support plate whose ends can be fixed on a transfer cylinder (03). An indentation (19) is formed between the ends of the blanket e.g. as a groove. The indentation can be worked into the coating of the printing blanket which forms the sleeve face of the transfer cylinder. Independent claim describes method for producing printing blanket where dimensionally stable support plate is provided with indentation prior to fitting onto a transfer cylinder. Independent claim describes printing mechanism for printer where only one opening for receiving a single blanket is provided on the circumference of the cylinder.
