Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an input apparatus which is small and easy to carry and has satisfactory operability and which can replace a conventional mouse function.SOLUTION: Similar functions as compared with a conventional mouse are realized by contacting a thumb to an input device including a contact distribution sensing device attached to an index finger. The contact distribution sensing device includes a plurality of contact sensors which detect contact to the thumb and movement and which sends a signal corresponding to these to a computer apparatus to move a position of a cursor on a display device. By contacting the thumb to regions at upper, lower, left, and right ends of the contact distribution sensing device, it is possible to continuously move the cursor in the respective directions.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
