Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a structure capable of inhibiting an adjustment lever from furiously turning at the time of releasing a retention force for disabling position adjustment of a steering wheel.SOLUTION: A reduction and extension device is included to reduce the space between a pair of support plates 22a and 22b along with turning in one direction of an adjustment lever 26, and extend the space along with turning in the other direction of the adjustment lever. An elastic member 41 whose compression quantity increases when the adjustment lever 26 is turned in one direction and reduces when the adjustment lever 26 is turned in the other direction, and whose reaction force reacts in a direction of contracting the space between the pair of support plates 22a and 22b is incorporated in the reduction and extension device. The reaction force of the elastic member 41 is reacted in the direction of contracting the space between the pair of support plates 22a and 22b.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
