Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery residual level alarm apparatus capable of properly predicting the life of a battery for backup of a memory device to generate an alarm.SOLUTION: In a step S1, an operating environment temperature T1 of a battery and an inter-terminal voltage V1 at a power supply turning-on time of a numerical controller are measured. In a step S2, an operating environment temperature T2 of the battery and an inter-terminal voltage V2 at a power supply turning-off time of the numerical controller are measured. In a step S3, it is determined whether or not a change rate R obtained by dividing a voltage difference ΔV between the two terminal voltages V1 and V2 by a temperature difference ΔT exceeds a predetermined change rate threshold value RT. If the change rate R exceeds the change rate threshold value RT, an alarm is generated in a step S4 to indicate that a remaining battery level is low. Further, in a step S5, a power supply turning-off operation of the numerical controller is suspended.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
