PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for measurement which can perform an operation of measuring a measurement target object and an operation of counting the number of measurement target objects at the same time and can also conduct the counting operation precisely and quickly.SOLUTION: A measurement device 10 includes: a sensor unit 20 for determining the measurement value of a used gauze put on a measurement plate 14; and a control unit 22. The control unit 22 counts the number of cases where the variation in the measurement value when the used gauze is put on the measurement plate 14 exceeds a determination value, and displays the number in an individual display unit 16A as the number of used gauzes.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
