Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate a parameter indicating the discharge characteristic of a nozzle in consideration of the influence of the ground color region of a sheet.SOLUTION: An image processing device generates a parameter corresponding to each of a plurality of nozzles of a printer and indicating the discharge characteristic of the color material of the corresponding nozzle by using scan data. A scan image includes: a first specific color region indicating the first portion to be printed by using the first type of nozzles in the specific color image and not adjacent in the second direction to the ground color region; and a second specific color region indicating the second portion to be printed by using the first type of nozzles in the specific color image and adjacent in the second direction to the ground color region. The difference in the color between the first specific color region and the second specific color region is evaluated on the basis of the value of the first pixel in the first specific color region and the value of the second pixel in the second specific color region, and the parameter corresponding to the nozzle is generated by using the result of the first evaluation processing.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
