Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic flaw detection device and an ultrasonic flaw detection method with which it is possible to reduce the probability of false detection and thereby improve the reliability of ultrasonic flaw detection results for an inspection object of a shape having a curbed surface in a narrow part, even when a sensor is installed on the curved surface.SOLUTION: The ultrasonic flaw detection device comprises: a sensor installation member 50 installed on an inspection object 2 having a narrow part 4 and a curved part 5 located in the narrow part 4, the narrow part 4 being a recess sandwiched by opposing surfaces 4d, 4e and having two opening ends 4a, 4b facing each other; an ultrasonic flaw detector 41 connected to an ultrasonic flaw detection sensor 1 attached to the sensor installation member 50; and a control computer 30 connected to the ultrasonic flaw detector 41. The sensor installation member 50 includes a support 11 installing the sensor 1 in the curved surface 5, a projection 25 provided in the support 11 and fittable into the narrow part 4, and mechanisms 14, 20, 21 provided in the support 11 and capable of changing at least an installation angle out of the installation angle and the installation position of the sensor 1 to the inspection object 2.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3B
