Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engagement device capable of suppressing a variation in the limit torque when the engagement teeth of one of a pair of members disengage from those of the other with engagement reaction force.SOLUTION: An engagement device 1 includes a slider 2 having a plurality of dog teeth 21, a sleeve 3 having a plurality of dog teeth 31 facing the plurality of dog teeth 21 in the axial direction, a movement mechanism 6 for moving the slider 2 back and forth in the axial direction, a stay 4 for supporting the sleeve 3 to be axially movable between a forward position where the dog teeth 31 can engage with the dog teeth 21 of the slider 2 and a retreat position further apart from the slider 2 than the forward position, and a torque limit spring 5 for energizing the sleeve 3 toward the forward position with respect to the stay 4. The sleeve 3, when moved to the retreat position with engagement reaction force between the dog teeth 21, 31, is released from the engagement with the slider 2.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
