Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent occurrence of a state in which different kinds of ink are mixed in an ink jet nozzle.SOLUTION: An ink jet printer performs cleaning processing by releasing sealing of an opening by a cap member, after sucking in ink from an ink jet nozzle by a suction pump. The ink jet printer includes pump control means for setting an internal pressure in a preset ink jet nozzle higher than an internal pressure in an ink jet nozzle except the preset ink jet nozzle by supplying the ink to the preset ink jet nozzle by an ink supply pump, after sucking in the ink by the suction pump in the cleaning processing.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
