Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pharmaceutical formulation for the treatment of multiple sclerosis.SOLUTION: In the use of Cladribine for the preparation of a pharmaceutical formulation, a Cladribine pharmaceutical formulation is orally administered according to the following successive steps: (i) an induction period in which the Cladribine pharmaceutical formulation is administered with the total dosage of Cladribine at the end of the induction period being about 1.7 mg/kg to about 3.5 mg/kg; (ii) a non-Cladribine period in which no Cladribine is administered; (iii) a maintenance period in which the Cladribine pharmaceutical formulation is administered with the total dosage of Cladribine at the end of the maintenance period being smaller than the total dosage of Cladribine at the end of induction period (i) or about 1.7 mg/kg; and (iv) a non-Cladribine period in which no Cladribine is administered.SELECTED DRAWING: None
