PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus in which a starting current of a general-purpose electric motor of 5 Kw-15 Kw is reduced.SOLUTION: A current of more than 6 times the normal current flows as a starting current of a general-purpose electric motor. For this reason, a fixed winding is operated as a Y connection at the time of starting, and at high speed, switching to Δ connection with a digital pseudo-sine wave Y connection Δ connection inverter opening and closing machine. Since a voltage of 1/√3 of the rated voltage is applied to each winding at the time of starting, the starting current also becomes 1/3 as compared with the starting with the Δ connection, and the starting current of the motor can be reduced.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
