Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a residual paper determination device and an image forming device which can securely determine existence of the residual paper without being influence to an accumulative amount of dust in a paper conveyance passage.SOLUTION: A residual paper determination device, which determines existence of the residual paper in a paper conveyance passages (9, 10, 11, 12) that conveys paper, has an electrostatic capacity sensor 16 which detects electrostatic capacity of the paper conveyance passages, and a residual paper determination unit which determines existence of the residual paper based on a detection value of the electrostatic capacity sensor 16. The residual paper determination unit sets a base level based on an output value of the electrostatic capacity sensor 16 at a time when the paper does not exist in the paper conveyance passages, and sets a determination threshold by adding a predetermined value to the base level, and compares the detection value of the electrostatic capacity sensor 16 with a latest determination threshold, and performs a determination by an orientation of their magnitude relation.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
