Abstract:
To provide a vehicle control device which can perform lane change with time-variant margin when a front obstacle exists in frontward direction of a preceding vehicle in execution time of automatic operation travel traveling by making an own vehicle follow the preceding vehicle.SOLUTION: The vehicle control device 10 comprises a lane change control part which determines whether or not a direction indicator of the preceding vehicle operates and as a result of this determination, controls the own vehicle so as to perform the lane change to an adjacent lane 101 while following the preceding vehicle if it is determined that the direction indicator operates in the execution time of the automatic operation travel traveling by making the own vehicle 1 follow the preceding vehicle 5.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
