Abstract:
To provide a stretchable core yarn for constituting a stretchable yarn having good elasticity and stretch recovery.SOLUTION: The stretchable core yarn (2) constitutes a stretchable yarn (1) by being covered with a non-elastic fiber sheath (3). The stretchable core yarn comprises a first fiber (4) composed of an elastomer and a second fiber (5) composed of a polyester-based polymer or copolymer. The second fiber (5) is contained in a range of 60 to 90 wt.% of the stretchable core yarn (2). The fibers (4) and (5) are bonded at a plurality of points (P) by an entangling method, a coextrusion method or a yarn twisting method. When bonded by an entangling method, the number of bonded points is in a range of 50 to 200 points/meter. When bonded by a yarn twisting method, the number of bonded points or twisting number each per 1 meter is set to impart a bonding strength that allows both fibers to stretch and recover as single fibers.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1b
