Abstract:
To provide means, in a method for manufacturing a polyimide seamless belt, that can reduce the occurrence of a defective appearance of a polyimide seamless belt to be manufactured, and the generation of ununiformity of the surface of the belt after a long-term use.SOLUTION: The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a polyimide seamless belt including applying a coating liquid containing polyamide acid and conductive filler to an inner peripheral surface or an outer peripheral surface of a cylindrical mold to form a coating film, and heating the coating film to perform thermal imidization processing, where the thermal imidization processing includes heating the cylindrical mold from a surface on the opposite side of the coating film formation surface to increase the temperature of the cylindrical mold, with heating means that is arranged such that the distance of an arbitrary position of the coating film in the rotation axis direction of the cylindrical mold between the heating means and an arbitrary position on the periphery of a cross section of the coating film formation surface on a plane orthogonal to the rotation axis direction; the processing is performed at an average temperature of 300°C or more, and with a ratio of in-plane temperature distribution to the average temperature of 2% or less.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2A
