Abstract:
To provide an image forming apparatus capable of adjusting an abnormal state of an actuator with a simple method.SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes: an actuator; a detection unit that detects a displacement of the actuator; a member to be operated provided so as to be able to move up and down; and a drive unit for driving the member to be operated. The member to be operated is disposed at a position temporarily contacting the actuator when it is moved up and down. The image forming apparatus further includes: a determination unit that determines whether the actuator is in an abnormal state on the basis of a detection result of the detection unit; and an adjustment unit that instructs the drive unit to execute a predetermined operation based on a determination result of the determination unit.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9
