Abstract:
To provide a drive force transmission device which can quickly switch a drive state when changeover to a four-wheel drive state from a two-wheel drive state becomes necessary.SOLUTION: A drive force transmission device 1 mounted to a four-wheel drive vehicle 100 which can switch a four-wheel drive state that drive forces of an engine 102 are transmitted to front wheels 104L, 104R and rear wheels 105L, 105R, and a two-wheel drive state that the drive forces are transmitted only to the front wheels 104L, 104R, and capable of adjusting the drive forces transmitted to the rear wheels 105L, 105R comprises: a multiplate clutch 23; a piston 20 for pressing the multiplate clutch 23 to an axial direction; an actuator 30 for moving the piston 20 to the axial direction; and a control part 4 for controlling the actuator 30. When a prescribed condition that a possibility that changeover to the four-wheel drive state becomes necessary at the two-wheel drive state is high is satisfied, the control part 4 controls the actuator 30, and displaces the piston 20 to the multiplate clutch 23 side rather than an initial position by a prescribed amount.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
