Abstract:
To print an image without deteriorating the image quality in a period until speed of a sub-scanning is stabilized from starting of the sub-scanning.SOLUTION: A printer includes a printing head, a movement mechanism, printing control means and movement control means. The movement mechanism includes a stepping motor and moves at least one of a printing medium and the printing head so that a relative position between the printing medium and the printing head is changed. The printing control means starts the movement mechanism according to a printing start instruction and controls the printing head so as to perform printing corresponding to one raster every time the relative position between the printing medium and the printing head is changed by a space of the raster by the movement mechanism. The movement control means controls the movement mechanism so that a driving interval of the stepping motor is made longer than the previous interval at least once before the movement mechanism is started and rotational speed of the stepping motor reaches predetermined target speed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
