Abstract:
To effectively stop a wheel lock as a result of an electric parking brake device activating while the vehicle travels.SOLUTION: A control apparatus includes a control part 140 for activating an electric parking brake device 40 by controlling driving of a motor 41. In the case of activating the electric parking brake device 40 while a vehicle travels, the control part 140 performs: first processing to cause the motor 41 to pull a cable 42 with first cable pulling force to cause deceleration of the vehicle 1 to become predetermined target deceleration; second processing, after the first processing, to cause the motor 41 to return the cable 42 as a wheel is locked; and third processing, after the second processing, to cause the motor 41 to pull the cable 42 with second cable pulling force that is smaller than the first cable pulling force as the wheel recovers from being locked.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
