To provide a friction material composition, a friction material and a friction member having excellent abrasion resistance and stability of a friction coefficient in braking under high temperature and high loads without using copper having a high environmental load.SOLUTION: There is provided a friction material composition which has a content of copper of 0.5 mass% or less as a copper element, and contains a titanate of a tunnel-like crystal structure and a titanate of a laminar crystal structure, where the titanates are scaly, columnar, or tabular.SELECTED DRAWING: None
