Abstract:
To provide a stable liquid catalyst composition for making polyurethane foam, and a process to make the polyurethane foam.SOLUTION: A stable liquid catalyst composition comprises at least one liquid bismuth carboxylate catalyst and at least one liquid dialkyltin dicarboxylate complex.EFFECT: The disclosed composition and process yield polyurethane foam having favorable properties, but requiring less metal. The polyurethane foam produced by this catalyst composition and a method is useful for laminated boardstock, construction panels, appliance insulation, spray-applied insulation, seat cushions, and mattresses.SELECTED DRAWING: None
